The annual Readathon Competition started on the 27th of February, 2023, and we celebrated all the achievements on Monday, 6 March, in a special assembly. Thank you to all our parents who embraced this fundraising activity. The Prize Categories included “The Best Dressed, Most Read Books, Library Quiz, Extreme Reading, Most Money Raised, and a Scavenger Hunt!”.  Our parents and pupils raised funds that will be used to improve learning in the classroom directly. The pupil who raised the most funds received a prize; she managed to raise R1020! Thank you to Mrs. Horner and her team for a fantastic week! The BEST part of it all was our pupils got to read and read and read and read and read. In a world where everybody relies on their devices, St James still treasures the value of opening a book, breathing in the scent, and getting lost in a world of stories…  We have an extensive library with the most remarkable books.
